AkzoNobel’s Aerodur S15/90 Yellow Polyurethane Primer is a three-component, aerospace-grade corrosion-inhibiting primer engineered for demanding structural and exterior applications. Fully compliant with MIL-P-23377 Type 1 and BMS 10-79 Type 1 specifications, it offers robust chemical resistance to aviation fuels, hydraulic fluids, solvents and cleaning agents, while delivering excellent adhesion to treated aluminium, anodized substrates, chemical conversion coatings and Metaflex™ washprimers. Its advanced formulation supports a dry film thickness of 15–30 µm, cures rapidly (2–4 h at ambient or via forced heat), and maintains long pot life (4–6 h) for operational flexibility. The vivid yellow color ensures immediate visual confirmation of coverage for inspection and quality control, and its compatibility with state-of-the-art polyurethane and epoxy topcoats ensures durable, uniform multi-coat systems in aircraft MRO and OEM production environments.
