The PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 B-2 Gray BMS 5-95 Type I Class B-2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant – Pint Kit is a two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant engineered for demanding aerospace environments, delivering a resilient, elastomeric bond that withstands aviation fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and severe environmental exposure. With a service temperature spectrum from –65 °F (–54 °C) to 250 °F (121 °C) and intermittent excursions to 275 °F (135 °C), it excels in sealing fuel tanks, fuselage joints and structural assemblies of aluminum, titanium and dissimilar-metal airframe substrates. Its low-sag paste formulation ensures efficient application on vertical and horizontal surfaces, while the B-2 controlled 2-hour work life supports OEM and MRO workflows. Once cured, it forms a durable barrier against galvanic action and long-term corrosion, providing strong adhesion, high elongation and ASTM salt-fog resistance for superior maintenance-friendly performance.
