The PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 A-2 Gray MIL-PRF-81733D Type I-2, Class 1 corrosion-inhibitive sealant is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide system engineered for demanding aerospace airframe sealing and corrosion-protection tasks. Designed for use in OEM production and MRO maintenance environments, it offers extended application life for precise tooling and seamless integration into complex assemblies. Formulated for optimum adhesion and flexibility across aluminium, titanium and dissimilar-metal substrates, it delivers durable elastomeric performance across an operational range down to -65 °F (-54 °C) and up to 250 °F (121 °C). Upon cure the material forms a resilient barrier with robust resistance against aviation fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and environmental exposure—ensuring long-term corrosion protection and reliability in critical aerospace structures.
