PPG PR1782 C2 LOW DENSITY FUEL TANK SEALANT

The PR-1782 C2 Low Density Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide formulated for demanding aerospace fuel-tank and weight-sensitive structure applications, offering up to ~30 % weight savings per unit volume compared with conventional sealants. With a service temperature range from -54 °C to 121 °C (-65 °F to 250 °F), it demonstrates excellent flexibility and adhesion across substrates including clad aluminium, titanium and stainless steel, along with long-term resistance to aviation fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and de-icing fluids. Designed for both OEM assembly and MRO applications in integral fuel tanks, this advanced sealant ensures durable, resilient sealing in harsh environmental and flight-cycle conditions while maintaining compatibility with standard aerospace primers and top-coats.
