The aircraft fuel tank and general sealant has a service temperature range of -54°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F), ensuring that you can work in virtually all conditions. This sealant, designed to be used for fay surface sealing applications, has proven weight savings in the field of as much as 20% weight per unit volume compared to traditional sealants used for the same type of sealing. With excellent weight saving, the cured sealant also retains great elastomeric properties even when cured and in contact with jet fuel and aviation gas. It will also withstand limited contact with diphosphate ester based hydraulic fluids.

PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 C-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part formula that must be mixed prior to use. When mixed, the sealant contents are a thick liquid that can be applied by roller or spatula. It cures at room temperature and forms a durable seal to most aircraft substrates that can keep fuel from leaking with no added weight.
