The PPG® PR1782 B-2 Gray AIMS 04-05-001/12/14/15 Spec Low Density Fuel Tank Sealant is a high-performance two-part polysulfide sealant engineered specifically for weight-sensitive aerospace fuel tank and structural applications. With a low-density formulation it delivers up to ~30% reduction in weight compared to conventional systems, while providing enduring elastomeric resilience across a service temperature range from –65 °F (–54 °C) to 250 °F (121 °C). The manganese-oxide-cured system exhibits exceptional adhesion to aluminum, titanium and composite substrates, and withstands prolonged immersion in jet fuel, aviation gasoline, oils and limited hydraulic fluid exposure, making it well-suited for OEM assembly and MRO repair of integral tanks, fuselage joints, fastener fillets and other sealing interfaces where structural integrity, flexibility and chemical resistance are critical.
