PPG PR1782 B-2 Low Density Fuel Tank Sealant

This low-density aircraft fuel tank and general-purpose sealant is intended for fillet sealing and other sealing applications associated with the fuselage to create a leak-free finish. PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 Fuel Tank Sealant has a service temperature range of -54ºC (-65ºF) to 121ºC (250ºF), and it is lightweight by design, up to 30% lighter than other types of fuel tank sealants.

PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 Fuel Tank Sealant is easy to use and cures readily at ambient conditions. Once in a cured state, it maintains elastomeric properties through prolonged exposure to aircraft fuels and aviation gas. It is resistant to limited exposures to diphosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids and has good adhesion for long periods of time. PPG’s Class B sealant is supplied as a two-part kit that requires mixing prior to application. This sealant is a low sag, thixotropic paste that can be applied by either extrusion gun or spatula, allowing for easy application.
