PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 A-2 Low-Density Fuel Tank Sealant offers extra strength without adding more weight. This low-density fuel tank sealant is quick-curing and eliminates leaks, making for a safer flying experience. PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 A-2 Low-Density Fuel Tank Sealant can be used in maintenance procedures or during repairs to solve the leak quickly and efficiently and without much weight addition to the aircraft.

PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 A-2 Low-Density Fuel Tank Sealant is a Class A sealant with a service temperature range of -54°C to 121°C (with a low end of -65°F and a high end of 250°F). The thin fuel tank sealant is designed for brush-sealing fasteners in fuel tanks of aircraft and provides a good seal for a common leak point. The sealant performs well and retains excellent elastomeric properties even after long-term exposure to aviational fuels such as jet fuel and aviation gasoline. The low-density fuel tank sealant can also withstand limited contact with diphosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids, as long as the flexibility you would expect to use anywhere on the aircraft. PPG Aerospace® PR-1782 A-2 Low-Density Fuel Tank Sealant can be used at a thickness of 25 mils and allowed to cure at room temperature.
