The PPG Aerospace® PR1782 A-1/2 Low Density Fuel Tank Sealant is a high-performance, two-part manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide system designed specifically for demanding aerospace fuel-tank environments. Delivering up to 30 % weight savings over conventional sealants, it meets AIMS 04-05-001/12/14/15 specs and is ideal for fast-cure (½-hour) applications such as field repairs and MRO work. With a service range from –54 °C to +121 °C (–65 °F to +250 °F), it exhibits exceptional elastomeric resilience and strong adhesion to aluminium, titanium and stainless-steel aircraft substrates. Its resistance to aviation fuels, oils, de-icing fluids and phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids ensures long-term durability in fuselage and wing-tank sealing, providing reliable bonding, low density and light-weight protection for OEM and overhaul applications alike.
