The PPG Aerospace® PR-1776M B-2 Brown AMS-3281 Type 1, Class B-2 Low Weight Fuel Tank Sealant – Pint Kit delivers an advanced, two-part manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide formulation engineered for integral fuel tank and fuselage-fillet sealing in commercial and military aircraft. With a service range from –65 °F (–54 °C) to 250 °F (121 °C) and short-term excursions to 360 °F (182 °C), it offers up to 20 % weight savings over conventional sealants. Highly thixotropic and low-sag for gun or spatula application, it cures at ambient temperature to form a resilient, elastomeric bond with superb adhesion to aluminium, titanium and composite substrates. Proven to withstand aviation fuels, oils, diphosphate-ester hydraulic fluids, salt spray and cyclic thermal loads, it ensures long-term structural integrity and fuel-tight reliability in demanding OEM production and MRO environments.
