The PPG Aerospace® PR-1776M B-1/2 Brown BMS 5-45H Class B-2 Low Weight Fuel Tank Sealant – Pint Kit delivers a high-performance, two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured PERMAPOL® P-5 modified polysulfide sealant engineered specifically for aircraft integral fuel tank and fuselage fillet applications where weight optimization is critical. With up to 20 % lower density compared to conventional sealants, it maintains a service temperature range from –65 °F (–54 °C) to 250 °F (121 °C), with limited excursions to 360 °F (182 °C). It exhibits outstanding fuel resistance, maintaining elastomeric flexibility and adhesion after prolonged exposure to jet fuels, aviation gasoline and select diphosphate-ester hydraulic fluids. Compatible with aluminum, titanium and stainless-steel aircraft substrates, the low-sag thixotropic paste cures at room temperature to form a resilient, durable seal ideal for OEM production and MRO fuel-system repairs.
