If you are in need of a high seal but want to keep weight down, order your PPG Aerospace® PR-1776M Class B Fuel Tank Sealant in a 6-once cartridge. This fuel tank sealant with an in-service temperature of -65°F (54°C) to 250°F (121°C) with very short excursions to 360°F (182°C) and has a low sag. PPG Aerospace® PR-1776M Class B Fuel Tank Sealant can be used as a fillet sealant and for other fuselage sealing applications where jet fuel and aviation gas will likely be present. The cured sealant will withstand limited exposure to phosphate ester-type hydraulic fluids.

PPG Aerospace® PR-1776M Class B Fuel Tank Sealant is a two part sealant with a modified polysulfide system cured with manganese dioxide, Permapol® P-5. This material has low sag and is thixotropic; therefore, it can be used in a vertical or horizontal application. The sealant can be applied by either spatula or gun, and has a room temperature cure time before it can fly. PPG Aerospace® PR-1776M Class B Fuel Tank Sealant has very good adhesion to most common aircraft substrates.
