The PR 1776M B-1/2 Low Weight Fuel Tank Sealant is a high-performance two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide formulated specifically for aerospace integral fuel tank applications where weight savings and reliability are paramount. Delivered in a 6 oz Semkit and conforming to AMS-3281E Type 1, Class B-1/2, this low density sealant achieves up to 20 % weight reduction compared to conventional systems. It offers exceptional adhesion to aluminum, titanium and stainless steel substrates, cures at ambient temperature into a resilient elastomer capable of withstanding a service range from –65 °F (–54 °C) to 250 °F (121 °C) with intermittent exposure up to 360 °F (182 °C). The cured film retains superior flexibility and maintains seal integrity after prolonged immersion in aviation fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and saline environments, enabling durable fillet sealing, joint protection and MRO integral-tank repair in commercial and military airframes alike.
