The PPG Aerospace® PR1440 A-2 Gray AMS-S-8802D Type 2 Class A-2 Spec Fuel Tank Sealant – Pint Kit is a premium two-part manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant engineered for integral fuel tank and critical aerospace structural applications. It delivers exceptional adhesion and long-term elastomeric performance across a wide service temperature range from -65 °F (-54 °C) to 250 °F (121 °C), with intermittent excursions up to 275 °F (135 °C). Formulated for compatibility with aluminium, anodised aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and composite substrates, it resists jet fuels, avgas, hydraulic fluids and lubricants, and maintains flexibility, durable fillet seals and corrosion resistance after prolonged exposure to fuel, salt water or harsh environments. Its two-hour work life class A-2 rating enables efficient OEM or MRO application by brush or gun, enabling reliable sealing of fasteners, joints and complex assemblies in commercial and military aircraft fuel systems.
