PPG Aerospace® PR-1440 A-2 Fuel Tank Sealant provides a strong bond and leak-free seal that withstands many flights. The gray fuel tank sealant bonds to most aircraft substrates and has a temperature range of -65°F (-54°C)-275°F (135°C)- service temperature range of -65°F to 250°F (121°C) with intermittent excursions to 275° (135°C). PPG Aerospace® PR-1440 A-2 Fuel Tank Sealant was designed for brush sealing fasteners in fuel tanks, which is a frequent failure point when it comes to leaks. The adhesive sealant cures to a flexible bond, providing durability in a dynamic flight environment from vibration.

PPG Aerospace® PR-1440 A-2 Fuel Tank Sealant is gray, making it easy to blend into your aircraft's fuel tank. The AMS-S-8802D Type 2 Class A-2 Spec fuel tank sealant is bundled as a pint kit with pre-measured components that should be mixed right when you are going to use it. The curing process will begin at room temperature and the sealant is meant to be brushed on at thicknesses up to 25 mil. Once cured, the sealant is extremely durable and provides leak protection flight after flight.
