The PPG Aerospace® PR1440 A-2 Gray AMS-S-8802D Type 2 Class A-2 Fuel Tank Sealant – Pint Kit is a high-performance two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant engineered for integral fuel tank assemblies, delivering extended two-hour application life for complex OEM or MRO operations. It offers robust adhesion to aluminium, titanium and stainless substrates, superior resistance to aviation fuels, oils and hydraulic fluids, and retains flexibility from –65 °F (–54 °C) up to 250 °F (121 °C) with short excursions to 275 °F (135 °C). Designed for brush application up to 25 mils thickness, the cured sealate forms a resilient, elastomeric barrier that withstands vibration, thermal cycling and immersion in saline-fuel environments, significantly reducing leak-risk and maintenance rework.
