PPG® PR1422 B-2 Brown is a manganese dioxide–cured polysulfide fuel tank sealant supplied in a 6 oz 654-SemKit and qualified to DMS 2082E Type I, Grade 1 & 2, Class B-2. Formulated for integral tanks and fuselage cavities, it adheres to aluminum, stainless steel, and composite substrates, resisting prolonged exposure to jet fuel, AVGAS, hydraulic fluids, and lubricants. Its Class B-2 work life supports controlled application and uniform tooling during OEM production or maintenance work, curing to a flexible, resilient elastomer that withstands temperature fluctuations, pressure cycling, and vibration in wings, center tanks, wet bays, and structural joints.
