PPG Aerospace® PR-1005-L Buna-N Red AMS-S-4383B Spec Aircraft Integral Fuel Tank Slosh Coating - Pint Can
Guard against corrosion and other common causes of damage to your aircraft's fuel tank by ordering a 1-pint can of PPG Aerospace® PR-1005-L Fuel Tank Slosh Coating . A thin coat is all it takes to provide endless protection against the type of slow corrosion, wear and tear that can be caused by repeat exposure to aviation gas and jet fuel. The slosh coating has a service temperature range of -100ºF (-73ºC) to 250ºF (121ºC) and can withstand intermittent exposure to temperatures up to 275ºF (135ºC). The coating cures at room temperature and is designed to be used as a topcoat or barrier coating.
PPG Aerospace® PR-1005-L Fuel Tank Slosh Coating is a single-component formula that features a synthetic rubber base. The uncured sloshing material is a thin syrup-like consistency that can be applied by brush, drip, spray or fill-and-drain application methods. During the curing process, the solvent component of the formula evaporates to leave behind a smooth, tough and flexible film that adheres well to most common types of aircraft substrates. The tank slosh coating adheres to MIL-S-4383 specifications.
