PPG Aerospace® P/S 870 C-12 is a two-part, manganese dioxide–cured polysulfide sealant formulated to meet MIL-PRF-81733D Type IV-12, Class 1, GA specifications. Designed for aerospace applications, it offers a 12-hour work life, facilitating precise application on large surfaces and complex assemblies. Once cured, it forms a resilient, flexible barrier that resists aviation fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, and environmental exposure, ensuring maximum protection of metallic substrates. With a service temperature range from -65°F to 250°F (-54°C to 121°C), and intermittent excursions up to 275°F (135°C), it maintains elastomeric properties even after exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas. This sealant is ideal for OEM production, structural sealing, and MRO maintenance operations, providing long-term corrosion protection and durability.
