PPG Aerospace® PS 870 B-1/2 Gray BMS 5-95 Type I Class B-2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant in the 6 oz 654-SemKit delivers reliable protection for aircraft structures exposed to harsh operational environments. This two-part manganese dioxide–cured polysulfide compound applies as a smooth, low-sag paste and cures at room temperature to a flexible, fuel-resistant elastomer. Engineered for aluminum alloys and dissimilar metal interfaces, it forms a durable moisture and chemical barrier that helps prevent galvanic attack and surface degradation from -65 °F to 250 °F, with short-term peaks to 275 °F. Its strong adhesion to common aerospace substrates and compatibility with extrusion or spatula application make it ideal for production, maintenance, and sealing tasks in airframes, fuel systems, and pressurized assemblies.
