The PPG Aerospace P/S 870 A‑2 Corrosion Inhibitive Sealant pint-kit is a two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant engineered to meet MIL-PRF-81733D Type I-2, Class 1, GA specification and deliver high-performance corrosion protection in demanding aerospace environments. With a service temperature span from –65 °F (–54 °C) to 250 °F (121 °C), and short-term excursions up to 275 °F (135 °C), it provides a robust elastomeric barrier on aluminium alloys, titanium and dissimilar-metal joints. Designed for airframe sealing, it offers excellent adhesion, 250 % elongation, resistance to aviation fuels, oils and hydraulic fluids, and maintains flexibility under vibration and thermal cycling. The A-2 work-life extension allows extended tooling time for precision application up to 25 mils thick, making it ideal for OEM assembly, MRO maintenance and aircraft structural zones exposed to moisture, salt-fog, and galvanic corrosion
