The PPG Aerospace® PR‑1826 B‑2 Rapid‑Cure Fuel Tank Sealant is a high-performance two-part, epoxy-cured P-3 polythioether compound, precision-engineered for integral fuel-tank and fuselage fillet sealing in aircraft OEM and MRO environments. It offers a rapid-cure work-life class B-2 formulation, delivering strong adhesion to anodised aluminium, titanium alloys and stainless steel when used with its dedicated adhesion promoter, and cures to a resilient elastomeric seal that maintains integrity after prolonged immersion in aviation fuels, oils and hydraulic fluids. With a wide service range from –80 °F (–62 °C) to 320 °F (160 °C) and the ability to withstand peak excursions up to 420 °F (216 °C), it delivers excellent hydrocarbon, salt-fog and fluid resistance, retains flexibility down to –65 °F (–54 °C) without cracking, and enables shorter turnaround times thanks to its low-sag, thixotropic paste consistency and rapid cure behaviour.
