The PPG Aerospace® PR-1826 B-1/2 Rapid-Cure Fuel Tank Sealant is a high-performance, two-part manganese-dioxide-cured polythioether (Permapol® P-3) compound delivered in a 6 oz 654-SemKit, engineered to meet PRC Standard and AMS 3277 Type I Class B requirements. With a service temperature range from –80 °F (–62 °C) to 320 °F (160 °C) and the ability to tolerate intermittent excursions up to 420 °F (216 °C), it is ideal for the demanding environments of modern aircraft fuel tanks and fuselage fillets. The thixotropic, low-sag paste cures rapidly at ambient or low temperatures without humidity sensitivity, enabling fast-turnaround OEM production and MRO repair operations. Once cured, the resilient, flexible seal adheres reliably to primed aluminium, titanium and stainless substrates, resists aviation fuels, hydraulic fluids, oils, salt-water immersion and vibratory loads, and retains elastomeric performance after prolonged exposure in severe service.
