The PPG Aerospace PR-1782 B1/2 PT KIT is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured, low-density polysulfide sealant engineered to meet AIMS 04-05-001/12/14/15 specifications and designed specifically for fuel-tank, fuselage, and fillet sealing in advanced aerospace structures. With a service-temperature range of –65 °F to 250 °F (–54 °C to 121 °C), it delivers up to 30 % weight savings compared to conventional sealants while maintaining excellent adhesion to aluminum, titanium and stainless-steel airframe substrates. The uncured thixotropic paste enables precise extrusion or spatula application and cures at room temperature into a resilient barrier that retains elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to aviation fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and de-icing fluids, making it ideal for OEM assembly, joint sealing and MRO repair where structural mass and long-term sealing reliability are critical.
