The PPG Aerospace® PR 1782 B-1/2 is a high-performance, two-part manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant engineered specifically for fuel-tank and fuselage fillet applications in aerospace environments. Offering up to 30 % weight reduction compared to conventional sealants, it delivers resilient elastomeric sealing from –54 °C to +121 °C (–65 °F to 250 °F) and maintains full adhesion to aluminum, titanium and stainless steel substrates while resisting aviation fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and de-icing exposure. The B-1/2 version provides a short application life and fast cure, making it ideal for OEM production and rapid MRO repairs, and once cured forms a low-density, durable barrier to preserve structural integrity and fuel-system safety.
