The PPG Aerospace® PR1782 A-2 Gray AIMS 04-05-001/12/14/15 Spec Low Density Fuel Tank Sealant – Pint Kit is a premium two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant meticulously formulated for integral aircraft fuel tanks, fastener sealing and complex MRO assemblies where weight savings and robust performance are essential. With a service temperature range from -54 °C to 121 °C (-65 °F to 250 °F), it provides up to 30 % weight reduction over conventional sealants, exhibits exceptional adhesion and flexibility on aluminium, titanium and stainless substrates (peel strengths >175 N/25 mm), and maintains elastomeric integrity after prolonged exposure to jet fuels, aviation gasoline, oils and hydraulic fluids. Ideal for OEM production and field maintenance, it supports extended work-life applications via its A-2 class designation for large-area or multi-component sealing tasks in modern aerospace platforms.
