The PPG Aerospace PR‑1440 A‑2 Fuel Tank Sealant is a high-performance two-part polysulfide sealant engineered to meet AMS-S-8802D Type 2 Class A-2 requirements, delivered in a 6 oz 654-SemKit format for precision mixing and application. It offers a 2-hour work life at 77 °F before curing begins, and upon full cure forms a resilient elastomeric barrier that adheres firmly to aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, composite materials and common aircraft coatings. Rated for continuous service from –65 °F to 250 °F (–54 °C to 121 °C) with short excursions to 275 °F (135 °C), this sealant resists aviation fuels (Jet A, avgas), hydraulic fluids, oils, water, salt spray and corrosion-inducing environments. It’s ideally suited for integral fuel tank assemblies, fuselage joints, rivet and fastener fillets during OEM builds or MRO repairs, delivering superior fuel-leak prevention, long-term flexibility and structural durability in demanding aerospace applications.
