The PPG Aerospace PR1422 B‑1/2 Fuel Tank Sealant – Pint Kit is a high-performance, two-part manganese-dioxide-cured polysulfide compound engineered for the most demanding aircraft fuel-tank environments. Designed for both OEM assembly and MRO repairs, this brown sealant meets PRC standard specifications and delivers robust adhesion to common airframe substrates including aluminum, titanium and composite panels. It forms a durable, elastomeric sealing film capable of withstanding aviation fuels, oils and hydraulic fluids while maintaining flexibility from -65 °F (-54 °C) up to 250 °F (121 °C) with intermittent excursions to 275 °F (135 °C). The B-1/2 classification offers a moderate working time conducive to efficient application on complex assemblies, and once cured the sealant provides long-term fuel containment integrity, excellent resistance to hydrocarbon attack and superior flexibility for dynamic structural joints.
