The PPG Aerospace PR1422 A‑2 Brown AMS‑S‑8802D Type 1, Class A‑2 Fuel Tank Sealant – Pint Kit is a high-performance, two-part manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant engineered for critical aerospace fuel-system use. Formulated to meet AMS-S-8802D Type 1, Class A-2, it delivers extended two-hour tooling life for precision application over fasteners and joints, cures at room temperature to a brown resilient elastomeric film and provides broad-spectrum compatibility across substrates including aluminium, titanium and anodised alloys. With service range from –65 °F to 250 °F (intermittent up to 275 °F), it maintains adhesion and flexibility after prolonged exposure to aviation fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, salt-water and humid environments. Ideal for both OEM production and MRO integral fuel-tank assembly and repair, it offers durable sealing, hydrocarbon resistance and long-term performance in demanding aircraft structural installations.
