Araldite 252-1 Blue Epoxy Void & Edge Filler is a two-component, low-density syntactic epoxy system (1.3 kg kit) precisely engineered for high-performance aerospace composite construction and repair. Certified to ASNA 4072 Issue B and compliant with AIMS 10-03-005 and FAR 25.853(a) flammability standards, it cures at room temperature with an optional elevated cure, delivering compressive modulus ≈ 2.4–2.6 GPa and lap shear strength of ~12 MPa. Its non-sagging pasty mix allows void filling, honeycomb core edge reinforcement, insert potting and defect remediation with excellent adhesion to metals, carbon/aramid/glass composites, and core materials. The cured surface sands smoothly and accepts overcoats, while its self-extinguishing and thermally stable nature ensures structural durability in harsh thermal, humidity and mechanical load environments typical of aircraft production, repair and MRO programs.
